The difference between single energy machine and dual energy machine:
1. The imaging mode is different: the single-energy imaging security inspection machine can only distinguish the projection shape of the scanned object, and the multi-energy security inspection machine can not only see the shape of the object, but also distinguish the material composition of the object; for example, the multi-energy security inspection machine can interpret metal and non-metal, which are expressed in different colors on the image, while the single-energy security inspection machine can also display the color, but this kind of machine can also display the color. There is no material distinction in color, such as single-energy machine can only judge the shape of objects, plastic toys or wrapped other materials can not be read, while multi-energy machine can combine color to judge the true and false of materials; this is the fundamental difference between multi-energy machine and single-energy machine. Objects such as explosives and drugs appear orange on multi-energy machines, but cannot be interpreted on single-energy machines.
2. Radiation source is different: single-energy type uses 70 kV radiation source, multi-energy type uses 140 kV radiation source. The higher the high pressure of the X-ray source, the stronger the penetration force is, the single energy can penetrate 8 mm steel plate, while the multi-energy can penetrate more than 30 mm steel plate; (If the prohibited items are loaded into metal boxes over 8 mm thick, the single energy X-ray machine can not be detected, which will bring huge potential risks to users.
