Two views of X-ray sources and detectors are used in the dual-view channel X-ray machine (DV machine), which is a new technology developed on the basis of the traditional single-view channel X-ray machine. The dual-view device scans the package from two different angles and obtains two X-ray images from different angles. Compared with the traditional single-view channel X-ray machine, the dual-view X-ray machine has the following advantages:
1. When the contraband is placed at a special angle for inspection, the single-view image shows dots or lines, which makes it difficult for security inspectors to correctly identify and cause missed inspection. The dual-view equipment can accurately identify dangerous goods with the help of another view image.
2. Comprehensive evaluation from two angles can effectively eliminate the interference of occluder on the calculation of automatic detection of explosives and drugs, and greatly improve the accuracy of detection.
3. For some inspections with clear targets, such as cameras, mobile phones, explosive devices, etc., the two-view angle can accurately judge the appearance of objects.
4. Mapping is accurate, no need for re-inspection, greatly improving the throughput. Due to the unique advantages of dual-view equipment, it has received great attention from all parties and invested funds to upgrade the existing security inspection equipment and processes. For example, all airports in the United States have adopted dual-view equipment for the security inspection of portable baggage, express parcels, Airport cargo, etc.
