Guangzhou Metro Security Comprehensive Upgrade To Shenzhen?

- May 16, 2018-

Scope: To enter the subway station will check

As of now, it is almost impossible for major domestic cities to cross the subway without security inspections. Guangzhou once implemented station security checks on the eve of the Asian Games, but it has since returned to its original state. Since 2015, Guangzhou has restarted the security checkpoints of its stations and used hand-held instruments that have less interference with passengers.

Yesterday, Guangzhou Metro launched a bid for the security inspection service project (2017-2020), which cost nearly 3 billion yuan. It purchased 855 security inspection equipment and employed 12,000 security inspectors.

According to the invitation of bids, the subway will carry out security inspections in the Guangzhou metropolitan subway and tram stations in accordance with the principle of “human and material inspection, comprehensive security inspection”, including opened and future new lines, according to national, provincial, municipal and Guangzhou subways. It is required to fulfill the duties of subway safety inspection.

Bidding requirements:

● Through personnel, technical equipment and other preventive measures to carry out a comprehensive safety inspection of personnel entering the subway station and the items they carry;

● Prevent the entry of guns, ammunition, control devices and explosives, flammable, radioactive, toxic, and corrosive substances or media that may affect public safety into the metro area;

● Deal with dangerous goods, contraband, restricted goods and other dangerous media in accordance with the prescribed procedures within the scope of their responsibilities.

The model passed the X-ray baggage scanner security check machine and passed the walk through metal detector security door

For baggage items and passengers themselves, security is divided into two parts: physical inspection and human inspection.

Physical inspection requirements: The subway uses security equipment such as X-ray security detectors, explosive detectors, bench top liquid detectors, metal detectors, etc.; trams pass hand-held metal detectors, hand-held liquid detectors, explosive detectors, etc. Security checks on the items.

In terms of human detection, passengers go through the arched metal detector security gates to conduct safety inspections when they enter the station, including manual use of metal detectors and other equipment.

Compared with the current situation, the most intuitive change is that subway stations have added X-ray security screening machines, door frame metal detector security gates, and bench top liquid detectors, similar to the practices of Beijing, Shanghai, and other cities. Tram stations refer to the current subway security model.

In this tender, the estimated service period of the contract period is from September 25, 2017 to September 24, 2020 (three years), and the contract period of the current security inspection (from September 25, 2015 to September 24, 2017). Seamless connection. Judging from the general trend of the national subway security inspection, it is a high-probability event to continue to implement in the future.

For the three-year security inspection project, the total bid control price is 2.67 billion yuan. It plans to purchase 855 security inspection equipment and employ 12,000 security inspectors. The sources of funds are self-financing and financial funds.

Test with a kettle to drink on the spot

In late July, Guangzhou Metro once briefly tested X-ray luggage scanning machines,walk-through security doors and other equipment at the A port of Wanshengwei Station. At that time, the station set an isolation fence in the non-paid area of the station hall for passengers to queue up for security inspection. Passengers put luggage on the X-ray security inspection machine about one meter off the ground, passed the security check gate, and accepted the staff for hand-holding. The device scans up and down, and finally takes luggage on the other side.

When tested last month, a friend entered the station with a kettle and needed to open a drink on the spot. If the baggage is found to be suspicious after passing the aircraft, further inspections are required.

Is travel efficiency guaranteed?

After the X-ray machine has been overhauled and security checked, passengers' inbound efficiency will inevitably be affected. How to reduce the number of passengers during the peak hours of work will be a new test item derived from this.

Some Shanghai-based netizens have made estimates that the speed of security is much lower than the capacity of peak subways, which is likely to cause overcrowding in security checkpoints and create opportunities for lawless elements.

According to the tender documents, the subway will be equipped with security personnel and equipment according to the passenger flow level of the station. The average daily station flow of more than 50,000 passengers belongs to the first station. The peak daily passenger flow period is 5 hours. Each security checkpoint is equipped with 6 security inspectors. . Among them, there are three first-class stations on the first line, five on the second line, eight on the third line (including the north extension section) and two on the fifth line.

In order to avoid delays, it is best for passengers to leave early in the peak period.
